Shameful Occurrences, Disturbing Facts, Light And Darkness.

Hebrew version premiere at the 'Arab- Hebrew Theater', Tel- Aviv, Israel, May 2014.

English version premiere at the 'Between The Seas' festival, New-York, NY, July 2014.

The performance deals with my criticism towards the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and with my feeling of guilt for not being politically active.

It explores the gap that is created between my opposition to the injustice committed by my country towards the Palestinian occupied population and between my lack of action in order to change this situation.

I'm trying to understand whether my constant need to be extremely kind to every Palestinian I interact with is an attempt to make up for the way my country treats them or is it an attempt  to compensate them for my not being a politically active.

The Performance is based upon testimonies of Palestinians living in the West Bank, documentation regarding the Israeli policy within the occupied Palestinian territories, published by 'Betzelem'-An Israeli human rights organization, and upon my personal experience as an Israeli. It is an interdisciplinary piece that combines video projections, movement and performance art.
